GET TO KNOW ME.
I’M NICOLE - DONA certified BIRTH DOULA.

My birth philosophy is built on the foundation of you feeling supported and in control of what happens to you during birth.
I am passionate about physiological and evidence-based birth, and I feel that my purpose is to be a calm, grounding presence.
I want you to feel comfortable, confident and well-educated about your birth. I AM HERE for all things pregnancy and birth, and want to be your go-to for information, questions, support, fears, reassurance, etc.

I love reading and listening to podcasts about birth and am continually broadening my learning. It’s important to me that my clients get the most up-to-date information and answers to their questions.

I’m a DONA-certified doula. DONA is one of the largest doula certifying bodies, and is very highly-esteemed. Training and certification includes in-depth understanding of labor and birth, comfort measures, common interventions, advocacy, birth and breastfeeding courses, knowledge of local resources, and attendance at many different births.

I am a Type 1 Diabetic and birthed all of my babies in the hospital setting. However, I believe everyone deserves to give birth where they feel most comfortable, and I love supporting home, birth center, and hospital births alike.

Other bits about me:

  • Well-versed in supporting high-risk births

  • Completed advanced doula training course

  • Experience with physiologic and medicalized birth

MY WHY

After a traumatic hospital birth with my first baby,
I decided I wanted something drastically different for my future births.

I learned more about birth and advocating for myself, and I was honestly really frustrated that I didn’t have the education or support that could’ve changed my first birth story. My subsequent birth experiences aligned more with what I wanted for myself, my baby, and my family. They were SO EMPOWERING and incredible. I want there to be less traumatic births in the world, and I want women to have a voice in their story. Helping others have positive birth experiences is my why, and I feel honored to be trusted with life-changing support during this sacred rite of passage.
