SERVICES
What is the purpose of a doula?
A doula is a person that guides and assists in positive and safe birth experiences. They do this by supporting birthing families physically, mentally, emotionally, and informationally. This support can completely change a birth environment, and allow more room for the journey to belong to the birthing person.
What to expect when working
with me:
The core of my birth philosophy is making sure my clients feel supported and in control of what happens to them during birth. I am passionate about physiological and evidence-based birth - I want you to feel comfortable, confident and well-educated about your birth. I feel that my purpose is to be a calm, grounding presence throughout this experience with you.
I AM HERE for all things pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and want to be your go-to for information, questions, support, fears, reassurance, etc.
My exact role in your birth is completely up to you!
For some, it means I am in the depths with you - physically supporting you and reminding you how strong you are throughout the most hard, intense moments. For others, it might be making sure you have water on stand-by, reminding your partner how to do counter-pressure on your hips, or just being present for questions or advocacy.
I am here for you, in whatever way you need.
